Our suppliers have a crucial role in assuring total quality of service to our clients.

Purchases have always had a central role in our manufacturing process and this has led to qualified relationships with our suppliers.
Collaboration between them and Vimercati is the result of careful selection and assessment of their pluses and minuses, that is of their level of quality and competitiveness.
The main phases of the selection procedure are initial assessment, qualification (in case of positive judgment), self certification.
The main elements of assessment are, above all, specific technical-organisational characteristics, high standard technological processes, know-how relating to the required products, capability of evaluating the required quality; and also the possibility to collaborate in product designing, to face market changes, to support common investments, to grant logistic integration.
Suppliers selected in this first phase are qualified and added to a vendor list by which we can assess their work through periodic controls of performances.
Only those who prove capable of contributing to Vimercati’s competitiveness are finally chosen.

Integration means a joint work which develops all along the manufacturing process, from innovation to designing to production in series. In particular, this means that:
-at a technical level, we use suppliers’ specialist competences in the development of components; this allows us to focus on the functional aspects of the product;
-
-in terms of quality, suppliers have their own responsibility on quality which must be controlled and certified before products arrive at Vimercati.
Such flow allows a free pass acceptance of materials which supports our stock, designing, output and delivery management.
Constant reciprocal exchange makes suppliers aware of our own demands and expectations, and leads them to be capable of assuring:
QUALITY – components shall have no defects at all
RELIABILITY – same top performances all over the life of the product
CONSISTENCY – reduce variables in performances and characteristics
LOGISTIC SERVICE – compliance with delivery terms, frequency, accuracy
FLEXIBILITY – meet all possible changes and always respect the last delivery terms
INNOVATION – an organisation aimed at constant research of new and optimised solutions
PROBLEM SOLVING – identify and solve any kind of problems
TRANSPARENCY – managerial attitude vis-à-vis responsibilities
IMPROVEMENT - be able to assess and develop one’s own capabilities
